Free Telehealth pelvic physiotherapy guidance for women+ with birth injuries and ongoing conditions
Many women+ experiencing birth-related trauma are left managing physical injuries or ongoing conditions without access to support. Pelvic floor dysfunction, incontinence, prolapse, and ongoing pain often go undiagnosed or untreated, especially for women+ who face barriers such as location, cost, or may not know the benefits of pelvic health physiotherapy.
Our new ThinkNatal™ Pelvic Physio Service is designed to change that.

What to Expect at Your Appointment
Appointments are done via secure telehealth and last approximately 45 minutes.
A telehealth appointment is a healthcare appointment that happens over the phone or by video call, instead of in person. You stay where you are, like at home and talk to your physiotherapist through a computer screen or phone, the same way you would on a video call with a friend. They can still ask questions, give advice, and guide you through things, but they can’t physically examine or touch you during the appointment.
During your appointment, your pelvic health physiotherapist may:
- Discuss your birth history, symptoms and recovery goals
- Talk through any pelvic floor, bladder, bowel, pain or concerns you may have
- Provide education about pelvic health, healing and support after birth
- Offer practical self-management strategies and exercises where appropriate
- Help you understand what symptoms are common, what symptoms may require further assessment, and what support options are available
- Answer your questions in a supportive, trauma-informed environment
Because appointments are delivered online, no physical examination or internal assessment is performed as part of this service.
This service is designed to provide guidance, education and support. It does not replace medical care, diagnosis, or face-to-face physiotherapy assessment when needed.
If We Identify a Concern
Our physiotherapists are trained to recognise symptoms that may require further medical assessment.
If we identify signs that may need extra investigation or treatment, we may recommend that you:
- See your GP
- Attend your maternity care provider or hospital
- Seek assessment from an in-person pelvic health physiotherapist
- Access specialist medical, psychological or allied health services
If urgent symptoms are identified, we will explain our concerns and support you to access appropriate care as quickly as possible.
